Harvest Moon Inc.
Harvest Moon, Inc. is a Wyoming corporation wholly owned by Thomas (Tom) R. and Ann (Annie) M. Mullen, husband and wife. Tom was born in Sioux City, Iowa in 1960. Annie was born in Fairmont, Minnesota in 1961. They were married in 1982 and have three adult children, Jesse, Louis and Lloyd.
Tom worked as a copy editor for the Omaha World Herald during his senior year at Creighton University. He also sold circulation, door-to-door for the Arkansas Democrat. In 1986 the Mullens returned to Sioux City where he worked for the Daily Reporter as Ad Manager. They purchased that newspaper in 1999 (later sold it to Rust Communications of Tennessee). In 1994 he trained to be a small town publisher with Les Mann in Wayne, Nebr. All this time Annie was working as a nurse. In 1996 they moved to Newcastle, Wyo. to buy into the News Letter Journal. Three years later they purchased majority interest in that paper, creating Harvest Moon as a management company. In addition to those newspapers the Mullens have owned and operated (with and without partners Robert H. Hicks and Jen Sieve-Hicks, and Gary and Sue Stevenson of Wyoming) the Philipsburg Mail, Silver State Post, Glasgow Courier and the Havre Daily News all in Montana, the twice weekly Weiser Signal American and the Teton Valley News in Idaho, the Seaside Signal in Oregon, and the 10,000-plus paid circulation Shelton-Mason County Journal and the Belfair Herald in Washington.
Harvest Moon also owns and operates the historic Trail Hotel at 136 South Main in downtown Sheridan. Its offices are on the corner of Brundage and Main Streets in downtown Sheridan. Its mailing address is P.O. Box 889, Sheridan, WY 82801, telephone 307.752.6261, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
